Sonja Palma/ No. Cal/ The August Complex Fire

...I saw Firemen returning from a long hard day with 36 hours on, and I had parked at their entrance. While waiting for them to set up I gave a few hugs; it felt good thanking them to their faces. It’s a good thing to be able to thank you for your long hours of hard work on real rugged terrain; it brought tears from our eyes with a feeling of gratitude. So glad I waited there, it was a rare chance but it worked out. Thanks to all of you so very much....Stay safe and rest so you’re not so exhausted.
