In 2014, I was just released from the hospital after having my gallbladder removed, an endoscopy procedure, and a liver biopsy. On the way home, my family and I were in a car accident.  The first responders on scene made me feel at ease as my main concern wasn’t for myself, it was for my daughter, as her vision became impaired and she was unable to see anything. I will never forget the male EMT on the scene who told me;I will take care of your child as if she were my own. The EMTs were not only compassionate but understood my feelings as a mother. Inside the ambulance, the care provided was something I will never forget as the skill to work quickly and efficiently was nothing short

of amazing. To those who responded to help my daughter and I that night, thank you. You are truly appreciated, and I will be forever grateful.
